The Dhuni is a sacred fire maintained by traditional yogis for invocation, sadhana, and blessings. Baba Rampuri established a small temple of Guru Dattatreya and a dhuni in Assagao, Goa, in 2014, for the purpose of restoring a traditional connection for the local community and the greater community, adding a dimension of authority and authenticity. A hub of diversity, traditional people come to a baba’s dhuni for blessings, endorsement, and advise, as well as to access the vast repository of traditional knowledge.
