H.H. Swami Avdheshanand Giri Ji is the Peethadishwar and Acharya Mahamandaleshwar (the spiritual leader) of the 200,000 Sannyasis and Naga Babas of Juna Akhara and the Head Trustee of the Acharya Mahasabha which represents all of The Sanatan Dharma’s diverse traditional leaders. He also is a member of the World Council of Religious Leaders, and as such, has addressed the United Nations on two occasions. In this video, He gives the blessings of Lord Dattatreya, Lord Mritunjaya, Maya Devi and Ganga Ma for performance of a Mahayajna in America. Deconstructing Yoga – India Retreat with Baba Rampuri

Our December retreat, “Deconstructing Yoga: Liberating Consciousness,” will take place at my dhuni in Goa from December 18-24. Twice daily, we will perform arati and puja in our small Temple next to the dhuni, with explanation and instruction for participants to do this later in their own homes. On Dattatreya Jayanti, Dec 24, we will have a Homa performed by Brahmin purohits, invoking Guru Dattatreya. I will teach the “protocols of knowledge” as a basis for tradition and sadhana.
