Baba Rampuri takes you inside Juna Akhara in Haridwar for the Naga Baba initiation, called the Vidya Sanskar or Virja Havan, at the Kumbh Mela in 1998. In front of the temple of Maya Devi, and witnessed by Lord Dattatreya in his makeshift temple within the compound, the new Sannyasis sit around four havan kunds and perform their rites of passage into Sannyas, what Naga Baba Rampuri calls, “The Extraordinary World.” Intimate and enlightening take on a forbidden world, where magic happens.
