Dreamscapes of the Sanatan Dharma -- Visionary Art of Druvinka Puri

Druvinka Puri — born in Sri Lanka, trained at Tagore’s Santiniketan, now a sadhu of the Himalayas — is among the foremost visionary artists of India and Sri Lanka. Working in the ancient tempera method, layer upon layer of acrylic on Nepali paper, she paints the deepest mysteries of human experience and the transcendent realms beyond. “I am merely an instrument of my art,” she says; each canvas, once finished, she lets go completely. These are her Dreamscapes of the Sanatan Dharma.

“Druvinka is my cheli, my disciple, and I consider her among the very finest visionary artists of India and Sri Lanka.” — Baba Rampuri
