The Nine Planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars, Venus, Jupiter, Rahu, and Ketu) are called graha in Sanskrit and Hindi, that which “grabs” or “possesses.”
In the Navgraha Homa, we make a Vedic Fire Sacrifice to appease the grahas, to lessen the malefic influences, and to strengthen the positive influences in our lives.

The Purnahuti, the final oblation of Baba Rampuri’s Chandika Havan. ॐ अग्नये स्वाहा। पूर्णाहुति।

Invoking Ganesh at the yajna with the Purohits before the homa. ॐ गं गणपतये नमः।
