Sharad Purnima 2026 falls on Sunday, 25 October 2026. The Purnima tithi runs from 11:55 AM on 25 October to 9:41 AM on 26 October, and the full moon rises at about 5:40 PM.

The Sharad Purnima proclaims the end of the Monsoon rains and looks towards our Autumn harvest. But this is not any Purnima, as tonight Chandrama will reveal all the 16 phases (kalas) including the hidden one. We use this opportunity to find the exact spot where the moonbeam meets the water (Ganga Jal) of the Ganga, and drink THAT jal, which has been transformed into the Nectar of Immortality.

शरद पूर्णिमा वर्षा ऋतु के अंत की घोषणा करती है और हमारी शरद ऋतु की फ़सल की ओर देखती है। पर यह कोई साधारण पूर्णिमा नहीं है, क्योंकि आज रात चंद्रमा अपनी सभी सोलह कलाएँ प्रकट करेगा, उस छिपी हुई कला सहित। हम इस अवसर पर ठीक वह स्थान खोजते हैं जहाँ चंद्रमा की किरण गंगा के जल (गंगाजल) से मिलती है, और वही जल पीते हैं, जो अमरता के अमृत में बदल गया है।
