Kundalini rises through the densities of the five elements, where the body knows only space and time, ascending circle by circle — the lotus-wheels of the chakras, each petal inscribed with its syllable — to the thousand-petalled lotus at the crown. She travels as the bodiless travel: by magic carpet rather than by airplane.
